Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Minot, North Dakota is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist/Geologist to support field teams across remediation and compliance projects.

You will spend about 90% of your time in the field and 10% in the office, prioritizing safety and effective teamwork with engineers, geologists, and consultants. Requirements include 4+ years of experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, 40-hour HAZWOPER or ability to obtain, a valid driver's license, TWIC or ability

Qualifications

• 4+ years equivalent experience in environmental science or geology.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain/maintain.
• Physically fit for fieldwork up to 90% of the time and respirator use if required.
• Valid driver's license with no major infractions; ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling (groundwater and other media) and support remediation tech.
• Install, operate, and/or maintain remediation systems as needed.
• Complete field paperwork documenting site activities and observations.
• Coordinate logistics for field efforts and communicate status to project managers.
• Interact with clients and subcontractors; ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in diverse environments.
