Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking an Electrical Inspector to join our Building Inspection team. This non-supervisory field role conducts electrical and fire alarm inspections, enforces the Denver Building Code and NEC/NFPA standards, and supports safe, sustainable building practices throughout Denver.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, three years of journey-level electrician experience, and a valid Colorado journey electrician license.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Three (3) years as a journey level electrician.
• Licensure: Valid Driver's License and Colorado Journey Electrician License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical and fire alarm inspections in all classes and occupancies.
• Ensure compliance with Denver Building Code, NEC, NFPA standards.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection records.
