Job summary

Town of Firestone is seeking a licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician to join the building inspection team as a Building Inspector II or III. Independent inspection duties and coordination with other departments are required, with pay ranges noted below.

Posting open until filled. Requires State of Colorado Journeyman/Master Electrician license (or equivalent) and ICC Residential Inspector certification; Commercial Inspector within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of intermediate to advanced application of adopted residential and commercial building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical codes.
• Knowledge of construction methods and code enforcement procedures.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and communicate code requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conducts residential and commercial inspections to ensure compliance with ICC codes and regulations.
• Inspects structures at various construction stages and determines approval or disapproval of work.
• Maintains inspection records and communicates with contractors and property owners.
