Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking an EHS Consultant to support health, safety and environmental programs across field projects in North and South Carolina. You will travel between sites, develop procedures, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety laws.

This intermediate role emphasizes advanced problem-solving and independent work under supervision. The position reports to the PMC Manager of Health & Safety and involves 2–4 projects, with a company vehicle and travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Health & Safety or related field.
• 3+ years related work experience; or 7+ years with HS/GED.
• Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex EHS information to support management and customers.
• Monitor EHS practices to ensure regulatory and company policy compliance.
• Research and evaluate advanced-level programs and develop solutions.
• Provide expert information on EHS programs and compliance to management and customers.
• Build positive working relationships with peers, customers, and management.
