Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a part-time Professional Research Assistant (PRA) Level 2 to bridge the Mountain West Hub with Alamosa residents. You will recruit households, obtain informed consent, and perform home visits to monitor air quality and collect health data.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of community health outreach, with bilingual English/Spanish communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year experience in community health outreach or public service outreach is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Local Outreach & Engagement: Conduct direct outreach across Alamosa County to engage residents in the Clean Air Study.
• Participant Recruitment Waves: Reach out to households identified through randomized address sampling and community sign-up lists, with multi-modal contact attempts.
• Recruitment Tracking: Maintain accurate, real-time records of contact attempts, eligibility screenings, and recruitment dispositions using REDCap.
• Informed Consent & Participant Onboarding: Explain study objectives and screening criteria; guide participants through consent and collect assents.
• Home Visits & Environmental / Health Data Collection: Conduct in-home visits to measure indoor air quality and collect health data.
• Acute Air Quality Event & Longitudinal Support: Support participants during air quality events and ongoing questions.
• Training, Logistics & Compliance: Complete mandatory trainings and assist with team meetings and administrative reporting.
