Job summary

ECS Limited invites applications for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Staff Project Manager role on our Pittsburgh team. This entry-level position emphasizes field support, materials testing, and early project management exposure while delivering excellent client service.

You will work with senior staff to conduct tests, observe field conditions, and document results, gradually expanding your responsibilities and project exposure within ECS Core Values.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of construction materials testing principles (developing).
• Familiarity with ASTM testing procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist field tasks supporting construction materials testing projects.
• Perform construction observation and testing with guidance from senior staff.
• Document site conditions and testing results in daily field reports.
• Communicate changes in site conditions or testing needs to project staff.
• Interact with contractors, technicians, and team members on job sites.
• Participate in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Begin learning soil classification and testing methods.
• Perform testing on soils, aggregates, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, asphalt, and fireproofing with supervision.
