Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Dallas seeks an APS Investigator Specialist I to protect elderly and disabled adults. This role conducts investigations, develops service plans, and coordinates with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience as described in the posting.
• Experience in social, human or protective services is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75% and work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Investigates reports of abuse, neglect or exploitation of elderly or disabled adults.
• Provides after-hours coverage and ongoing services to clients.
• Develops individualized service plans and documents cases.
• Makes presentations and participates in community awareness activities.
• Prepares routine and special reports for management.
