Job summary

Metro Aviation, Inc. seeks a Field Based Helicopter Aviation Maintenance Technician (EC135) in Lafayette, Louisiana for the Acadian Air Med program. You will maintain airframes, rotors, engines, and components to airworthiness standards while coordinating with the Lead AMT and pilots.

The role requires FAA A&P with 3+ years rotorcraft or airplane experience; IA and FAR 135 experience is a plus. Full-time with on-call shifts; benefits include health, dental, vision, life, and EAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required.
• IA and FAR 135 experience is a plus.
• Minimum of three years turbine rotorcraft or airplane experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft in a safe, airworthy condition per FARs and MAI policy.
• Coordinate maintenance schedule with the Lead AMT and forecast downtime.
• Perform inspections, modifications, maintenance, and repairs on airframe, rotors, engines.
• Communicate with pilots and clinical crew on arrival about aircraft condition.
• Maintain field base to company policy and manage inventory and GSE.
• Ensure all aircraft and MAI documents are current and properly filed.
