Job summary

PEAKE is seeking a field technician to support the physical buildout of network and AV infrastructure on a government installation. This role involves hands-on cabling, configuring workstations, and setting up AV equipment for live and recorded events, with strict adherence to mission standards.

Active DoW Secret clearance or higher is required. The candidate will work in diverse environments, coordinating with facility stakeholders and senior team members to ensure quality, safety, and mission

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret clearance or higher.
• Direct hands-on experience in cabling, network infrastructure installation, or AV systems installation.
• Demonstrated experience with copper (CAT 5/6) and fiber optic cabling — installation, termination, and testing.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and closet hardware installation.
• Ability to configure networks and perform installation-level troubleshooting to validate connectivity and system performance.
• Previous team lead duties on relevant installation or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Network Infrastructure Installation: CAT 6 and Fiber Optic cabling, termination, labeling to industry standards.
• Install closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures.
• Test single-mode and multi-mode fiber installations with Fluke and OTDR testing.
• Configure workstations and perform network troubleshooting to validate installed connections.
• Coordinate with facility stakeholders to execute AV installations aligned with client and mission requirements.
• Audio & Visual Systems Installation: set up, operate, maintain, and dismantle AV equipment for live/recorded events.
• Attend training and safety meetings; adhere to company safety policies.
• Serve in a team lead capacity as needed.
