Job summary

Bluum is seeking an AV Installation and Service Technician to support the full lifecycle of audio/visual system delivery—from internal staging and shop prep to field installation, testing, and customer handoff. You will assemble racks, install equipment at client sites, troubleshoot, provide basic customer training, and coordinate with project teams.

The role requires 3+ years in AV installation, knowledge of AV signal flows, tooling proficiency, and networking basics; travel to local/regional

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AV installation or electronics assembly.
• Advanced knowledge of AV signal flow (Audio, Video, Control, Networking).
• Proficiency with hand tools and test equipment (multimeters, cable testers).
• Advanced understanding of computer networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, label, and dress AV equipment racks according to engineered signal flows and Bluum standards.
• Verify project hardware and staging inventory before deployment; coordinate discrepancies with teams.
• Modify or customize rack hardware and mounting solutions as required for specific project needs.
• Install AV equipment at customer sites, including mounts, screens, projectors, and related components.
• Test installed systems and troubleshoot to confirm functionality before handoff.
• Provide basic system training for customers and support successful project turnover.
• Communicate installation progress and status to Project Lead Installer/Manager/Coordinator.
• Mentor, train, and serve as a resource to other Installers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace AV equipment at customer sites as assigned.
• Perform preventative maintenance on installed systems.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone/email; escalate as needed.
• Coordinate service completion with Technical Service Coordinators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
