Job summary

Nucor Steel, Kingman is seeking an automation technician to support the team's automation needs. The site features state-of-the-art controls, automation, and robotics for advanced steel manufacturing.

The role focuses on safely maintaining and improving these systems to enhance reliability and performance. The candidate should have 2+ years in industrial automation, experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls, and be willing to respond to trouble calls outside normal hours.

Qualifications

2 years’ experience with automation systems developing/troubleshooting logic in an industrial environment
Diverse background in PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls
Industrial electrical and controls experience, including troubleshooting field devices and power circuits through to the automation systems that control them

Responsibilities

Always looking for ways to improve safety through process improvements and increased reliability of our systems
Brings a can-do attitude, solution focused mindset
Role will be a field focused position improving process and equipment operation
Maintains proficiency in required skill areas
Must be available for trouble calls outside of scheduled hours, including nights and weekends, and available to support planned outages and down days through startup.
