Job summary

Nucor Towers & Structures Utah (NTSUT) is seeking an Automation Engineer to own automation and electrical functions in a modern production facility. You will support robot integration, robotics cells, and manufacturing processes to maximize machine productivity.

You will program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems while collaborating with suppliers and teams across NTS sites. A STEM degree and travel readiness are required for this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent work experience.
Diverse background in PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls.
Ability to travel for training and alignment with the other NTS sites.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and upgrade automation systems at key points in the production process.
Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
Attend automation, robotics, and equipment supplier training.
Safety is emphasized in all duties and must be upheld.
