Job summary

ConocoPhillips seeks an Automation Technician based in Loving, NM to maintain and troubleshoot field automation, instrumentation, and SCADA systems, ensuring uptime and safety. You'll collaborate with operations, engineering, vendors, and contractors to support new installations and reduce repeat failures, while following DOT, OSHA, NEC guidelines and safe work practices.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in automation, instrumentation, controls, SCADA support, or related field operations.
Working knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting field automation and instrumentation equipment.
Associates degree or higher in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Technology, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks in alignment with safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, NEC, NFPA) and company requirements.
Follow LOTO procedures when working on automated and electrical equipment.
Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot field automation, instrumentation, and related electrical equipment.
Diagnose SCADA, instrumentation, and control system issues and restore safe operation promptly.
Create, update, and close maintenance work orders and documentation.
