ConocoPhillips is seeking an Automation Specialist for Loving, NM to support safe and reliable field operations by maintaining automation, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, vendors, and contractors to resolve issues and implement new installations.
The role offers hands-on field automation experience, exposure to evolving technologies, and opportunities to grow technical depth within a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in automation, instrumentation, controls, SCADA support, or related field operations.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting field automation, communication and instrumentation equipment.
- Must reside within commuting distance to Loving, NM or be willing to relocate for daily drive.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation, instrumentation, and SCADA systems in field operations.
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot related electrical equipment and field devices.
- Diagnose SCADA/instrumentation issues and restore safe, reliable operation promptly.
- Assist with PLC installation, troubleshooting, and programming updates.
- Create, update, and close maintenance work orders and documentation in CMMS.
- Support root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures and manage changes (MOC).
