Job summary

Voith Hydro is hiring a Field Automation Expert II in York, PA to deliver digital and automation service projects. This technical lead will design, test and commission automation systems, grow customer relationships, and support the service business in North America.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in control systems, PLC/ hydraulic expertise, and up to 60% travel to customer sites. CAD/CAE and SAP experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in control systems design and commissioning; hydraulic control experience a plus.
Self-starting individual with strong communication across internal and external resources.
Ability to travel up to 60% to various customer/project sites.

Responsibilities

Conduct customer visits to generate growth and support sales of new services and products.
Lead design, factory testing and commissioning of automation projects.
Prepare BoMs using SAP for manufacturing, sourcing, logistics and installation.
Collaborate with field service, vendors and customers to define cost-effective solutions.
Assist with trial planning, proposals, and continuous improvement activities.
