Job summary

System7 is seeking a Field Automation Engineer to lead field-based automation work—installation, programming, troubleshooting, and QA/QC—under the Field Engineering Manager. You will apply hands-on PLC, HMI, and VFD expertise to ensure field deployments meet customer specs, safety standards, and timelines.

The role requires on-site execution, site scoping, and technical support with strong communication to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on field automation experience.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Travel to customer sites required.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or systems integration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and commission field control systems.
• Perform QA/QC and ensure safety and code compliance.
• Translate customer requirements into field designs.
• Document installations and lessons learned.
