Zusammenfassung

Infravision in Buda, Texas seeks an Automation & Controls Engineer to design, develop, test, and support industrial automation and control systems for our ground systems. The role is onsite and collaborates across controls, electrical, networking, software integration, and field commissioning.

You will move between PLC/HMI development, hardware, networks, and real-world troubleshooting to build reliable, secure automation solutions from requirements through deployment and lifecycle support.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in industrial automation, controls engineering, or systems integration with PLC programming.
• Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI/SCADA platforms and industrial protocols.
• Ability to review electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team communication skills.

Aufgaben

• PLC and controls development: design, program, test, and maintain IEC 61131-3 PLC systems.
• HMI/SCADA: configure operator displays, alarms, trends, data logging, and integration.
• Electrical and control system design: review layouts, schematics, I/O, BOMs.
• Industrial networking: configure EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, CAN/CANbus, MQTT.
• Software integration: build interfaces using Python, C/C++, SQL, APIs, and data connections.
• Edge, IoT & cloud: integrate PLCs and sensors with edge/cloud for telemetry and remote diagnostics.
• OT cybersecurity: apply segmentation, secure remote access, backups, and system hardening.
• Testing and commissioning: perform unit/integration tests and field commissioning.
• Documentation & change control: maintain specs, interface docs, test procedures, and release notes.
