Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to serve as the main contact with customers, guiding the repair process from start to finish. You will manage your own inventory and work with body shops to negotiate pricing while assessing liability.

This field role offers a company car and travel within a defined geographic area, with occasional office reports as needed. Applicants must reside in the SF Bay Area counties listed in the ad.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of relevant work experience in claims with one year in appraisal/estimatics or insurance.
• Associate's degree with three+ years of relevant experience including appraisal/estimatics or insurance.
• Bachelor's degree with at least one year of appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive's driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document information related to the claim and align with standards and laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
