Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to act as the primary contact with customers and coordinate the repair process from start to finish. You will manage your own workload, work with body shops, and negotiate repair pricing while assessing liability.

The role is field-based with a company car, requiring frequent driving within the assigned geographic area. Occasional office reporting may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• OR Associate's degree and minimum three years relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• OR Bachelor's degree and minimum one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, with Progressive driving standards compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set expectations/timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops to reach favorable outcomes.
• Document claim information and make decisions consistent with standards and laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
