Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser - Catastrophic Loss to inspect and value auto vehicles involved in losses. This full-time US telecommuter role supports customers nationwide with occasional travel to inspection sites.

You will prepare estimates using estimatics software, determine repair vs salvage, and work with auto repair facilities. CAT deployment may occur during peak times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Licenses as required by state guidelines.
• Two years of related experience including at least one year in appraisal.
• Strong knowledge of automobiles.
• Ability to use appraisal software.
• PC literate with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicles.
• Evaluates repairability or salvageability based on estimatics software.
• Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles.
• Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
• Works with auto repair facilities on supplemental repairs.
