Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Field Auto Appraiser specialized in catastrophic loss. You will inspect and appraise damaged vehicles in the field, determine repair vs. salvage options, and prepare estimates using estimatics software.

The role requires travel to inspection sites and coordination with auto repair facilities, with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and customer service. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related appraisal experience, including

High school diploma or GED required.
Two years of related experience with at least one year of appraisal experience.
Strong knowledge of automobiles and ability to use appraisal software.
PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicles in the field; decides between repair vs. replace and parts utilization.
Evaluates and determines repairability or salvageability using estimatics software.
Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.
Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
Collaborates with auto repair facilities to determine supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.
