Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Field Project Manager to drive field execution of Asset Integrity and Asset Management programs across client facilities in the Greater St. Louis region.

You will lead day-to-day inspections and engineering activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and data integrity. The role requires close collaboration with the Asset Management Program Manager, field crews, and client staff, acting as Orbital's on-site representative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, or Civil) or equivalent field
• Minimum 5–8 years of asset integrity/inspection/asset management experience in industrial settings
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (power, oil & gas, refining, chemical, manufacturing, steel, mining)
• TWIC card preferred
• Experience supporting Asset Management, Asset Integrity, MI, or RBI programs preferred
• Familiarity with digital inspection tools, databases, and asset tracking platforms preferred
• Experience in consulting engineering or inspection environments preferred
• Strong field leadership to manage crews, schedules, and site logistics
• Knowledge of inspection methodologies, asset condition assessments, and reporting
• Strong written and verbal communication for field coordination and reporting
• Willingness to travel regularly to regional client sites

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field execution of Asset Management and Asset Integrity projects, including inspections
• Act as primary on-site contact during field activities, aligning with scope, safety, and client expectations
• Plan and coordinate daily field activities, including access, scheduling, and logistics
• Track progress and report status, issues, and risks to Program Manager
• Support inspection planning, review inspection data and reports, and provide technical input to repair decisions
• Enforce safety policies and quality management system requirements
• Coordinate with inspectors, technicians, and subcontractors; mentor junior staff
• Maintain relationships with client operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
• Escalate safety or execution concerns as appropriate
