Job summary

Stantec is seeking an archaeological technician to support field survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring as part of the Cultural Resources team. This role is based out of Riverview, FL, Alpharetta, GA or Mobile, AL with extensive travel, including deployments of up to three months at a time.

You will conduct Phase I survey, testing, and data recovery projects with ESRI ArcGIS tools. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in anthropology/archaeology, field school experience, and strong

• Successful completion of an archeology field school.
• Knowledge of precontact and historic material culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform archaeological fieldwork tasks including controlled surface survey; shovel testing; and excavation.
