Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Archaeology Technician in Fort Worth, Texas to assist with data collection and analysis for various field programs. This temporary position demands outdoor work in rugged conditions, requiring qualifications in archaeology and the ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate will have field experience, a relevant degree, and a valid driver’s license, as well as a willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Experience with archaeology fieldwork, especially in the Great Plains region.
• Willingness to work outdoors under diverse weather conditions.
• Ability to navigate using GPS and topographic maps.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological excavations and surveys.
• Record and evaluate soil characteristics.
• Clean and prepare sites for mapping and photography.

Skills

Experience with GPS

Knowledge of archaeological excavations

Ability to work in varied conditions

Safety training certificates
