System One, Inc. is seeking an Archaeological Field Technician in Paducah, KY for a contract role. You will conduct field tasks including shovel test pit excavations, site documentation, and artifact analyses under the direction of senior archaeologists.

The position requires hands-on field experience, GPS usage, the ability to travel, and physical endurance for rugged conditions. Weekend or night shifts may be required, with a $20–$27 hourly compensation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Architectural History, or a closely related field.
• Field experience and ability to identify prehistoric resources are required.
• Familiarity with Phase I–III work is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform archaeological field work, lab work, or GIS tasks under supervision.
• Excavate shovel test pits, units, and block excavations; document sites and analyses.
• Map sites and artifacts using GPS and related tools.
• Travel to field locations as needed.
• Work hours may include weekends or night shifts; adapt to environmental conditions.
