GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks an on-call Archaeology Field Technician to support survey and excavation projects in Williamsburg, MI.

The role involves cultural resources monitoring, data collection, and creating daily reports under supervision, with GPS tech usage and field forms adherence. Qualified applicants have a relevant bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of supervised field experience; a valid driver's license and tech literacy are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, historic archaeology, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervised field archaeology experience, with preference for construction monitoring.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Computer literate with smartphone and tablet applications.

Responsabilidades

• Perform cultural resources monitoring at construction sites to implement mitigation measures to avoid impacts to cultural resources.
• Conduct archaeological field surveys.
• Record data for scientific and compliance purposes using company forms and established field methodology.
• Prepare daily progress/monitoring reports as needed by the project.
• Use GPS equipment (Garmin/Trimble) and data collection application for field data collection.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
