Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Senior Archaeologists to support projects across the western United States, delivering desktop and field-based cultural resources services for government, military, and commercial clients.

The Senior Archaeologist path involves NHPA/NEPA compliance and collaboration with senior staff. Travel to distant sites, fieldwork, and timely, compliant reporting are essential, with a focus on safety and quality delivery.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Anthropology with archaeology emphasis.
• Completion of an archaeological field school.
• Minimum of two years of professional archaeological field work with construction monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance with NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA, NEPA and related laws.
• Conduct archival research and background records reviews.
• Perform archaeological fieldwork including survey and monitoring.
• Analyze findings and prepare technical reports for cultural resources projects.
• Evaluate eligibility for NRHP and state registers; support senior staff.
