The National Park Service in Tupelo, MS invites applications for an Archeologist - Field Unit Local Hiring Authority (FUL). You will join the Resource Management Division to evaluate projects for effects on archeological resources under Section 106 and develop strategies to avoid or mitigate adverse effects, with field work across TN, AL, and MS.

The position involves coordinating state site number requests, conducting field investigations, and maintaining the Parkway's archeological database.

Qualifications

• Mandatory education requirement with transcripts to support education claimed.
• Unofficial transcripts acceptable, but official transcripts required before start if education was used to qualify.
• Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalence and recognized by a private interpreting organization.
