Job summary

ONI is seeking an experienced Applications Specialist to provide post-install training and scientific support for our Nanoimager customers. You will troubleshoot workflows, assist with sample acquisition, and collaborate with Service and Product teams to maximize system value.

The role emphasizes advancing customer adoption, delivering advanced workflow training, and supporting renewals and expansions while working across Sales, Service and Applications.

• Advanced scientific training required (PhD or equivalent).
• Strong microscopy/imaging background and familiarity with related applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-install applications training and ongoing scientific support.
• Troubleshoot workflow, sample, acquisition, and application issues with Service and Product teams.
• Drive customer adoption, utilization, and successful use of ONI workflows.
• Conduct advanced workflow training and onboarding for customers.
• Identify at-risk customers and coordinate actions with leadership.
• Contribute to renewals by demonstrating value.
• Identify expansion opportunities and escalate to Sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-install applications training and ongoing scientific support.
• Troubleshoot workflow, sample, acquisition, and application issues in partnership with Service and Product teams.
• Drive customer adoption, utilization, and successful use of relevant ONI workflows.
• Conduct advanced workflow training and support customer onboarding.
• Identify customers at risk and coordinate corrective actions with Customer Success & Service leadership.
• Contribute to renewals by demonstrating scientific and operational value.
• Identify legitimate expansion opportunities and hand them to the appropriate Sales resource.
• Develop reusable training, knowledge-base, and support materials.
• Capture customer feedback and communicate recurring needs to Product and Commercial teams.

Candidate profile

• Advanced scientific degree Phd or equivalent experience.
• Strong microscopy, imaging, or relevant applications background.
• Demonstrated customer-support, training, and scientific communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex science into practical, repeatable workflows.
• Strong collaboration skills across Service, Sales, Product, and Applications.
• Travel Expectation for installations - 25% across UK and Europe
