Job summary

ONI is seeking a field-based scientific and applications specialist to enable opportunities across China and RoW with the Nanoimager to advance cellular studies.

You will train distributor teams, support demonstrations, and capture technical feedback, traveling extensively to regional partners while communicating fluently in Mandarin and English. This role blends scientific depth with customer impact in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree or equivalent applications experience.
• Expertise in microscopy or relevant life-science workflows.
• Customer-facing field applications experience preferred.
• Mandarin and English communication capability.
• Ability to travel extensively within China and regionally.

Responsibilities

• Support distributor-led customer meetings and technical discovery.
• Conduct demonstrations, evaluations, workshops, and scientific presentations.
• Train distributor applications teams to position and support ONI workflows.
• Ensure technical claims and customer expectations are accurate.
• Support opportunity progression through technical evaluation and differentiation.
• Identify scientific objections, technical risks, and requirements that could affect deal progression.
• Work with Sales and partners to create technical close plans for priority opportunities.
• Support strategic conferences, workshops, and market-development activities.
• Capture market, application, competitive, and customer feedback for ONI teams.
