Job summary

Teradyne in Plano, TX is seeking a Field Applications Engineer for new graduates. You will work with customers and Teradyne teams to solve technical issues, develop test solutions, and keep customer production running.

You will devise testing techniques for digital and mixed-signal devices, write IGXL test programs in VB or C#, debug issues, develop workflow tools, and travel to sites to support engineers. A bachelor's in EE, 1 year test development experience, and willingness to travel 10%+ are

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field.
Programming experience with Visual Basic or C#.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for digital/mixed-signal testing.
Ability to work from the Plano office most days of the week.
Travel 10%+ as required.
At least one year of test development experience.
Technical skills: scopes, test equipment, scripting languages, AI tools.

Responsibilities

Devise techniques for testing digital and mixed-signal devices.
Write and debug IGXL test programs in VB or C#.
Debug customer test programs and provide effective solutions.
Develop tools to improve workflow efficiency.
Reproduce customer issues for Teradyne engineers and provide interim solutions.
Write and present technical papers at Teradyne Users Group.
Teach technical classes and seminars to customers and Teradyne engineers.
Manage projects to oversee delivery of milestones.
Travel to customer sites to assist Design, Test, Product, and Manufacturing Engineers.
