Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. in Santa Clara, California is seeking a Field Application Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to provide technical support to customers and help drive design wins that lead to tapeouts and first-time-right silicon outcomes.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to map GF technologies to customer needs, develop clear technical docs, and participate in evaluations and tapeouts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and good academic standing.
• English language fluency (written & verbal).
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of GF technology offerings by engaging with internal experts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align GF tech with customer needs.
• Support customer evaluations and tapeout processes with GF SMEs.
• Develop clear, customer-facing technical documentation for GF solutions.
