Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Austin, TX invites students to join as a Field Application Engineering Intern. You will provide technical support to customers, assist evaluations, and help drive design wins and tapeouts.

You’ll learn GF technology, collaborate across teams, create technical docs, and help with safe operations. Eligibility includes being a sophomore pursuing EE or related field, GPA 3.0+, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Sophomore in Electrical Engineering or related field pursuing an accredited degree.
• GPA ≥ 3.0 and in good academic standing.
• English (written & verbal) fluency.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Prior internship or leadership experience preferred.
• Interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to GF customers and assist evaluations that lead to design wins.
• Collaborate with internal teams to map GF technology to customer requirements.
• Create customer-facing technical documentation demonstrating GF solutions.
• Uphold safety and EH&S requirements in all activities.
