Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a recent graduate to join as a Field Application Engineer based in Santa Clara, CA (preferred) or Austin, TX to provide technical support to customers and align GF technology offerings with targeted application and market needs.

This 2027 New College Graduate role engages with customers and internal experts to support evaluations, drive design wins, and help convert opportunities through design‑in, tapeout, and first‑time‑right silicon outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education – Graduating with Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Science or related field from an accredited degree program.
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Travel - Up to 10%

• Preferred internship or co‑op experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand technical needs for semiconductor IC product development and align GF technology solutions.
• Gain a strong understanding of GF technology offerings by engaging with internal experts to explore key features and differentiators.
• Collaborate with internal teams, account managers, product marketing, and technical experts to create application-specific technical presentations and proposals.
• Support customers through technical evaluations, design-in activities, and tapeout processes in partnership with GF subject matter experts.
• Develop clear, customer-facing technical documentation that demonstrates how GF technologies address targeted application and market challenges.
• Identify and resolve technical issues or concerns that may impact design win conversion, tapeout readiness, or customer adoption of GF solutions.
