Job summary

Applications Engineer - Aerospace and Defense in Houston, TX provides technical support for NovAtel GNSS receivers, antennas, and GNSS/INS systems. You will assist customers through evaluations, integration, troubleshooting, and training, while analyzing data and configurations to diagnose issues.

You will document root causes, escalate to Engineering when needed, and collaborate across teams to address technical risks and deliver demonstrations and field trials.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geomatics, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of GNSS/positioning or embedded systems experience.
• Strong GNSS concepts, antennas, RF paths, multipath and logging.
• Experience with hardware integration and embedded designs.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, R, Bash, Lua or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for GNSS receivers, antennas, firmware, and GNSS/INS systems.
• Assist customers with evaluations, integration, troubleshooting, field trials and training.
• Analyze data, logs, configurations, RF installs to diagnose issues and suggest actions.
• Document issues, escalate with root-cause context to Engineering when needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Mgmt, Engineering, and Support; create docs and guides.
• Support product testing, field trials, demos, and customer events.
