Job summary

Calnex Solutions is seeking an experienced Field Applications Engineer to join our Americas sales team, supporting customers across the region and driving technical success throughout the sales cycle. Based in San Jose, CA, you will be the primary technical interface to partners and customers on the west coast.

You will work closely with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to turn market and customer requirements into high quality, winning products.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years’ experience in Computer Networking.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Networking experience.
• Networking/Protocol knowledge (CCNA or equivalent preferred).
• Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships to enable close technical and personal ties with our customers, creating an atmosphere for efficient issue resolution and an open door for exploring new opportunities for Calnex.
• Team player.
• Adaptable to rapidly changing market requirements with prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• The ability to gain a thorough understanding of the Calnex product line and related technologies.
• Help our customers to prepare test configurations and resolve issues.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, establishing a consultative relationship with both our partners and customers, which includes: product capability assessment, defining test requirements, training issues to resolution.
• Understand customer requirements and demonstrate how Calnex products can fulfil their requirements.
• Understand product specifications and applications for specific customers.
• Explore business opportunities and make marketing proposals.
• 50% travel required with some International travel.

We design, produce and market test instrumentation and solutions for network synchronization and network emulation, enabling our customers to validate the performance of the critical infrastructure associated with the telecoms networks.

We are seeking an experienced Fi eld Applications Engineer to join our small but expert Americas sales team, supporting customers across the region and driving technical success throughout the sales cycle. We welcome individuals who thrive in a challenging and continuously improving environment.

Working closely with our Engineering team, as well as Marketing, Sales and Operations, you will contribute to turning market and customer requirements into high quality, winning products. Based in San Jose, CA or surrounding areas our FAE will be the primary technical interface to our partners and customers throughout the west coast region.
