Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE USA is seeking a technical support specialist to provide on-site and remote troubleshooting of SEW-EURODRIVE electronic controllers and electro-mechanical equipment, with frequent travel to customer sites.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or technology and 1–3 years' experience with industrial VFD drives, PLCs, and electrical test instruments.

Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 yearly with comprehensive benefits beginning day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or technology.
• 1–3 years’ experience with industrial VFD drives.
• Ability to read parts lists, catalogs and price books.
• Understanding of SEW-EURODRIVE product nomenclature.
• Experience with AC variable frequency controllers and servo motor controllers.
• Knowledge of PLCs and ability to troubleshoot programs.
• Familiarity with industrial fieldbus (DeviceNet, Profibus).
• Ability to read control wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting/repair at customer sites.
• Provide technical assistance over the phone.
• Inspect and repair SEW-EURODRIVE products.
• Catalog and maintain technical information for SEW products.
• Travel domestically and overseas for required assignments, including after-hours as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested.
