Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join a growing team in the United States. The FAE will work with customers from ground to executive level, manage projects with internal and external teams, and help grow the business through customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer technical issues and drive them to closure.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operations teams to implement customer solutions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operations teams to support the customer.
• Guide customer projects and delivery together with Sales and Operations teams; attention to detail in multi-part projects.
• Understand system hardware and software interactions and communicate that information to internal stakeholders.

Job Summary

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be part of a growing, dynamic, highly-focused team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities in the global IT market. The FAE will be required to work with customers from ground to executive-level, manage projects hand in hand with internal and external teams, and help grow the business whenever possible. Customer and solution focus, are two key factors for this position, as well as business continuity and support. The FAE must work with multiple departments to ensure new projects and existing projects are initiated or maintained towards customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand customer technical issues and drive them to closure. Candidate needs to be analytical, proactive and detail oriented.
• Work with various internal teams to assist with the implementation of customer solutions using products and platforms both on and off the roadmap.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operations teams to support business at the customer.
• Guide customer projects and delivery together with Sales and Operations teams. Attention to detail is a must for projects, which may include many moving parts in the equation.
• Ability to understand system hardware and software interactions, as they relates to customer issues, and convey that information to internal key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of professional experience and training.
• Analytical mindset with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to draw upon technical and/or product knowledge in configuration of Supermicro or related products.
• Experience in business IT systems, datacenter builds, server and/or workstation technology.
• Prior Server FAE/Sales Engineer/Solution Architect experience.

Work Location

Regular in-office attendance is required. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$69,000 - $145,000. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
