Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking a results-driven technical sales engineer in the United States to influence designs, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive account growth. You will leverage engineering expertise to solve complex customer problems, conduct design reviews, and present seminars with suppliers and Arrow teams.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year electrical engineering degree, 5+ years of related experience or advanced degree with relevant background, and strong Excel/PowerPoint/CRMBI

  • Breadth of knowledge of electronic components

  • Intermediate-to-advanced experience using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to become competent with CRM and BI tools such as Oracle, Salesforce, and Microsoft Power BI
  • 4-Year Degree in Electrical Engineering is required; new graduates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Influence design wins by leveraging technical leadership and solution selling
  • Manage supplier and customer expectations and develop stakeholder relationships
  • Grow the account base each quarter and drive demand creation with content
  • Present technical seminars and workshops around supplier lines
  • Provide technical support and consulting across pre- and post-sales activities
  • Collaborate with sales and other Arrow departments to calibrate and research solutions
  • Organize engineering customer events and participate in branch trainings
  • Meet with suppliers to review customer design activity and identify solutions
  • Monitor performance metrics and take corrective action to meet targets

Job description

• Spend the majority of time in front of customers influencing component selection
• Champion return on engineering investment using customer needs and technical leadership expertise
• Manage supplier and customer expectations and develop stakeholder relationships
• Grow the account base each quarter
• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs
• Leverage Arrow engineering and design services to facilitate customer solutions
• Apply technical knowledge to influence designs through solution selling, resources, and strategies
• Identify solutions and resolutions to customer design needs and issues
• Monitor performance metrics and take corrective action to meet or exceed targets
• Present technical seminars and workshops around supplier lines
• Provide frequent updates to the field sales team and motivate activity around supplier lines
• Partner with sales across pre- and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting
• Conduct technical calibrations and research with sales, Arrow departments, and suppliers
• Obtain sales buy-in for design win priorities, initiatives, and promotions
• Attend and participate in strategic branch meetings and QBRs
• Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solution
• Participate in ArrowEDGE initiatives through branch training and customer calls
• Organize engineering customer events
• Meet with suppliers to review customer design activity and identify compelling solutions
• Attend supplier trainings in person and via conference calls

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components
