Bio-Rad is seeking an Academic Genomics Field Application Scientist to partner with academic customers across the U.S. Southwest. You will deliver hands-on training, scientific guidance, and application expertise for qPCR, ddPCR, and single-cell sequencing.

As the Academic Genomics Field Application Scientist, you’ll serve as a trusted scientific partner and key liaison between Bio‑Rad and our academic research customers across the U.S. Southwest region. In this role, your days will be spent supporting researchers before and after the sale—delivering hands‑on training, scientific guidance, and application expertise across our genomics portfolio, including qPCR, ddPCR, and single‑cell sequencing solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Field Sales Representatives while working directly with customers in labs, classrooms, and seminar settings. Your work will include leading technical trainings, product demonstrations, and seminars tailored to audiences with varying levels of technical experience. This role blends scientific expertise, customer engagement, and real‑world lab work—offering the opportunity to directly impact academic research while representing Bio‑Rad as a subject‑matter expert in genomics technologies.
This position covers the California region. The individual must live within a geography that allows them to visit customers on‑site on a daily basis.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $96,600 to $132,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
