A global leader in power solutions is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support customer design activities for PSU products. The role involves serving as a technical liaison, conducting schematic reviews, and collaborating with R&D teams. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, has over 3 years of experience in the Power Supply sector, and possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Power Supply, preferably with PSU design and/or FAE responsibilities.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Overview

Field Application Engineer – Power Supply

Compensation: $85K-$95K DOE

Location: Fremont, CA

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams
• Support customer design-in activities for PSU products (AC-DC, DC-DC converters, adapters, etc.)
• Provide in-depth product knowledge and assist customers in selecting appropriate power supply solutions
• Conduct schematic reviews, PCB layout guidance, and thermal management consultation
• Perform lab testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of PSU systems
• Develop and present technical documents, application notes, and product training materials
• Collaborate with R&D teams to improve existing products based on customer feedback and market needs
• Participate in product definition, validation, and design reviews
• Travel to customer sites (as needed) to support design activities and resolve issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Power Supply, preferably with PSU design and/or FAE responsibilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual in Mandarin is a plus
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
