Reports To: CEO/CPO (South Korea-based) and VP of Business Development (U.S.-based)

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Application Engineer to support the adoption and deployment of next-generation CXL-based computational memory solutions. This role involves deep engagement with CPU vendors, server manufacturers, and database technology partners to ensure seamless product integration, superior performance, and robust technical support. The ideal candidate will drive validation processes, deliver hands-on product support, and act as a technical bridge between engineering, business development, and customer teams.

Key Responsibilities

Partner & Customer Engagement Validation & Integration

Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers and partners.

Develop and execute detailed validation plans for CXL-based computational memory devices.

Collaborate with customer teams to understand system architecture and workloads, ensuring smooth integration and optimal system performance.

Lead end-to-end validation processes, including planning, execution, and results analysis at customer sites.

Product Support & Technical Training

Perform system-level debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis of customer-reported issues.

Create and deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and product documentation to support customer adoption.

Assist in the development of user manuals, application notes, and best practice guides.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Insights

Provide feedback to product development and engineering teams on customer needs and feature enhancements.

Support marketing and business development efforts through technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects.

Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies in datacenter computing, such as CXL, near-data processing, storage, and memory solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in technical and commercial roles related to datacenter server products (CXL, near-data processing, AI, storage devices preferred).

Strong hands-on understanding of system software components: firmware, hypervisors, operating systems, and drivers.

Experience with server peripheral integration including DRAM, PCIe, NICs, NVMe, and CXL.

Proven ability to work independently in dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environments.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness and ability to travel regularly to South Korea and occasionally to other international locations.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in field application engineering, technical marketing, or pre-sales technical consulting.

Familiarity with AI, data analytics, databases, or runtime environments.

Programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Python.
