Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is seeking an early-career Field Application Engineer to serve as the technical link between production facilities and customer engineering teams in San Jose, CA. This role blends hands-on design support with customer interaction.

You will engage with design, quality, and manufacturing to ensure designs meet manufacturability and performance targets, while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFM and stack-up support for new and existing customer designs.
• Participate in design reviews prior to release and help define drawing notes to meet specific design and manufacturing requirements.
• Implement industry standards and customer-specific specification requirements.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal production/engineering groups and customers.
• Attend scheduled customer meetings and provide technical Q&A support.
• Travel to customer sites to support technical discussions, program reviews, and issue resolution.
• Create and deliver technical capability presentations in partnership with the sales team.
• Communicate customer technology needs and roadmap gaps to internal teams.
• Update customers on production capabilities and facility technology roadmaps.
• Support factory investigations of quality issues as they arise.
• Travel to factory locations to support customer visits and audits.
• Collaborate with account managers to grow customer revenue through technical support.

Overview

A leading electronics manufacturer is looking for a Junior Field Application Engineer to act as the technical link between its production facilities and customer engineering teams. This is a customer-facing, collaborative role combining technical expertise with relationship management across design, quality, and manufacturing functions.

Responsibilities

Design & Engineering Support

• Provide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and stack-up support for new and existing customer designs
