Job summary

Rocsys is hiring an Application Engineer in Portland, OR. You will bridge commercial and tech teams, ensuring successful deployment of autonomous charging solutions.

You’ll lead integrations with vehicle OEMs, support remote commissioning, and help field service technicians with uptime and performance across diverse platforms. The role requires 5+ years in a technical/engineering setting, a degree in engineering, and hands-on expertise with embedded systems, CAN/J1939, and programming basics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical/engineering role, ideally in mobility or high-tech.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering disciplines.
• Strong grasp of embedded hardware and software for customer testing and integration.
• Foundational programming knowledge in Python, C/C++, Rust for communication with development teams.
• Familiarity with CAD models and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards (e.g., UL) and vehicle protocols (CAN, J1939).
• Experience supporting complex service operations with customers or partners.
• EV charging tech experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with data analysis/visualization using Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead vehicle integrations and testing with OEM partners across various platforms.
• Configure testing environments and validate integration and performance.
• Provide remote or on-site commissioning and post-deployment support.
