Job summary

Qnity in the United States is seeking an experienced engineering designer to collaborate with OEM engineers, manufacturers, and internal teams to bring electronic device concepts through to production. You will support regional customers, balance design targets, and ensure manufacturability and reliability.

You will lead cross-functional design activities, present solutions, generate production documentation, and manage multiple programs with tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field is required.
• Experience designing and manufacturing electronic devices and systems.
• 6–10 years in a similar role with component/subsystem focus.
• Thermal, EMI, or microwave absorber experience preferred.
• Strong client-facing engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OEM engineers, reps, distributors and sales to implement solutions.
• Attend customer meetings, provide design support, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Use Laird/Qnity products to develop design solutions and generate production docs.
• Present designs using modeling/simulation and drive prototypes to production.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and coordinate internal activities.
• Prioritize multiple programs and ensure on-time development; travel up to 50%.
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout development and production.
