Job summary

CHC Navigation (CHCNAV) seeks a motivated Technical Support Engineer to train partners and enterprise clients in using CHCNAV GNSS solutions. You will address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide on-site support for training and demos.

Travel to partner locations and trade shows is required. Strong English, engineering background, and experience in technical support or services are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Proven experience in technical customer support or service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present and train.
  • Experience delivering technical training and demos to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line technical support for CHCNAV partners and clients.
  • Lead on-site training and product demonstrations at partner locations.
  • Address inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve complex problems.
  • Create and refine technical documentation and training videos.
  • Collaborate on product testing and usability improvements.
  • Manage regional travel for engagements and trade shows.
  • Support instrument maintenance and field repairs as needed.

Established in 2018, our US subsidiary is a critical pillar of CHCNAV’s international strategy, tasked with driving diverse, high-impact initiatives that advance our global footprint.

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Technical Support Engineer to join our fast-growing team. As a key member of our technical support division, you will spearhead processes and tools to deliver exceptional support experiences for CHCNAV partners, distributors, and clients - playing a pivotal role in strengthening trust, reliability, and long-term business growth.

About the Role

In this customer-facing role, your primary focus will be ensuring partners and enterprise clients are expertly trained to demonstrate, install, and utilize CHCNAV products and solutions seamlessly. You will also serve as a technical authority, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering on-site support at partner/customer locations for training, demos, or problem-solving. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading pre-sales, in-sales, and post-sales technical support within your designated region to drive regional performance objectives.
  • Conducting both online and offline product demonstrations and empowerment training, including technical workshops for internal teams.
  • Managing end-to-end resolution of regional product issues—tracking, analyzing, debugging, and optimizing workflows to elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Contributing to the department’s knowledge base by creating and refining technical documentation, guides, and training videos.
  • Collaborating on product testing initiatives to enhance performance and usability.
  • Independently managing regional travel for partner/customer engagements, trade shows, and strategic account support.
  • Providing on-site after-sales maintenance and assisting with instrument repairs to ensure operational continuity.
About You

We’re looking for a candidate with:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, ideally specializing in Surveying, GNSS, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in technical customer support or service, preferably in a B2B or industrial technology environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in public speaking and presenting, including delivering technical training and demos to diverse audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications and the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
  • A track record of solving complex technical problems with analytical rigor and sound business judgment.
  • A professional yet approachable demeanor to build and maintain trust with partners.
  • Reliability, accountability, and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Fluency in English (Chinese or additional languages are a plus).
Travel Requirements

Travel is a key component of this role, including domestic trips to partner/customer sites, industry trade shows, strategic accounts, and regional support for the CHCNAV US team.

Expected Compensation:

Annual base salary + annual variable pay = $60,000-$100,000
