Job summary

BizLink Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a design-focused engineer to develop and maintain technical relationships with customers, design high-performance, low-cost products, and lead investigations across disciplines.

The role requires a BS or MS in engineering, 3+ years in interconnects, 3D modeling, strong communication and leadership, and willingness to travel. You will collaborate with QE and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions and grow BizLink’s engineering capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (mechanical preferred).
• 3+ years in interconnect industry with data center wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
• 3D modeling capabilities required.
• Strong technical communication and leadership to lead multi-discipline investigations.
• Decisive, proactive execution mindset; strategic approach to complex engineering issues.
• Timely communication with customers and cross-functional departments.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain overall technical relationships with customers.
• Visit customers frequently to help design products with high performance and low cost recommendations. Secure design wins and provides customer feedback to internal teams.
• Work with the quality team (QE) and address quality issues locally.
• Conduct testing to replicate failure, inspect product and perform preliminary failure analysis upon request.
• Provide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries
• Provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of BizLink’s products
• Create, manipulate, and utilize representations of objects in three dimensions.
• Prepare materials and participate in product presentations
• Assist with the development and growth of our company and engineering resources.
• Continually provide feedback as to how BizLink’s products or services can be improved to enhance our customers’ experience.
• Some travel will be required.
• Handle any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements

• Bachelors' or Masters' degree in engineering discipline; and mechanical engineering preferred.
• 3 + years experience in the interconnect industry with experience in working with data center wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
• Required to have 3D model capabilities
• Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines
• Decisive, focused, and proactive drive for execution.
• Strategic and Innovative approach to complex engineering issues.
• Timely communication with the Customers and cross functional departments.
