Job summary

Labrynth is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers on regulated, operational workflows, turning field work into production products. You will shadow operators, map real workflows, and ship production slices across frontend, backend, data, and deployments.

You will write tests, document evidence, and explain tradeoffs to customers while identifying reusable patterns to accelerate future onboarding and safer workflows.

Qualifications

• Shipped production software and can explain changes for users.
• Comfortable in messy customer settings and uncovering real problems.
• Able to translate user needs into code and demos with evidence.
• Strong frontend/backend capabilities and end-to-end thinking.

Responsibilities

• Run customer discovery and field shadowing to name users, states, and constraints.
• Implement thin product slices across UI, API, data, permissions, and deployment.
• Write tests, verify paths, and document proven vs. uncertain aspects.
• Explain risks and next steps to non-technical customers.
• Identify reusable patterns and feed them into product/engineering.
• Own ambiguous work from discovery to rollout and follow-up.
