Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our Data and AI team at the Minneapolis HQ.

This in-office role, four days a week with one day remote, embeds AI into construction projects across the Midwest to prototype, deploy, and scale AI solutions on active sites. You will work with project managers and field staff, leveraging Google Cloud Platform and agentic tools to drive tangible business value in delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying generative AI, ML or advanced software solutions.
• Experience with agentic coding environments and AI harnesses to accelerate software architecture and delivery.
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Vertex AI and IAM security models.
• Experience developing custom RAG pipelines and multi-agent orchestration.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, TypeScript/JavaScript; comfortable with REST APIs and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Field-Embedded AI Deployment: work directly with construction project teams to observe, diagnose, and solve operational friction using AI.
• Agentic Rapid Prototyping: build and test functional prototypes with velocity in agentic coding environments.
• Software & AI Engineering: write scalable, robust code for tailored field applications and workflows.
• Cloud Development: implement production solutions on GCP (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage).
• RAG and Agent Development: develop and deploy RAG apps and autonomous agents for construction docs.
• Construction Data Integration: connect models/pipelines with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, ERPs, and repos.
• Feedback Loop: translate field results into scalable enterprise AI solutions.
• Culture Building: promote data-driven decision-making within Ryan's AI culture.
