Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a highly accomplished Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Public Sector team. You will embed with customers to deliver data science pipelines, integration solutions, and AI-enabled workflows across defense, intelligence, and aerospace missions.

You will design end-to-end systems, architect API-led integrations, and mentor junior engineers while driving rapid prototyping and production readiness in highly regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of end-to-end delivery in field deployments or customer sites.
• Proficient in Python, Java, and SQL with production experience.
• Extensive AI/ML, MLOps, and LLM integration experience.
• Expert in enterprise integration platforms and API-led connectivity.
• Experience with Regrello and MuleSoft or comparable tools.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% for customer site engagements.
• U.S. citizen, able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as forward-deployed technical lead on defense/intelligence/aerospace engagements.
• Architect and implement enterprise integration solutions (MuleSoft, iPaaS) across REST, SOAP, event patterns.
• Design and deploy workflow automation to model complex operational processes.
• Lead integration of AI/ML models and data pipelines for mission-critical use cases.
• Collaborate with security teams to accelerate Authority to Operate (ATO) and production go-lives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to playbooks and templates.
• Translate mission priorities into actionable data/integration roadmaps.
